Onion Uttapam


  • Idli / Dosa Batter
  • Onion
  • Tomato
  • Green Chilli
  • Fresh Coriander
  • Cooking Oil
  • Spices: Salt, Red Chilli Powder

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Prepare dosa batter: add salt, water as required to make smooth consistent mixture
  2. In a mixing bowl, add chopped onions, tomato, fresh coriander and green chilli
  3. Add salt, red chilli powder and mix well
  4. Heat flat tawa pan
  5. Spread oil evenly on tawa
  6. Add dosa batter and move ladle in spiral motion to spread batter evenly into round shape
  7. Sprinkle onion, tomato salad on dosa batter and press gently
  8. Fry uttapam on both sides till golden crispy brown
  9. Serve with coconut chutney or sambar
