Ingredients:
- Sprouted Mott Beans
- Flattened Rice (Poha)
- Potato
- Onion
- Tomato
- Fresh Coriander
- Ginger Paste
- Green Chilli
- Shev
- Lemon Juice
- Spices: Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric, Garam Masala, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder
Cooking Instructions:
Lentil Curry
- Soak mott beans for 1-2 nights in wet cloth until sprouted
- Chop Onions, Tomatoes, Green Chilli and Fresh Coriander
- In pressure cooker, add 2 spoons of cooking oil
- Add chopped onions, tomato, green chilli
- Add sprouted beans
- Add spices: salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger paste and black pepper
- Add freshly chopped coriander
- Mix well
- Add sufficient water and cook until beans turn soft and mushy
Poha
- Soak flattened rice (poha)
- Cut potatoes into thin slices
- In frying pan, add 1 spoon of cooking oil and sliced potatoes
- Add green chilli
- Fry potatoes until they are fully cooked and turn soft
- Add chopped onions and fresh coriander
- Add turmeric
- Mix well
- Add soaked poha (flattened rice)
- Add salt, lemon juice as per taste
- Mix well
Misal
- In serving bowl, add layer of poha
- Add hot lentil curry
- Add shev
- Garnish with fresh coriander and sprinkle of lemon juice
- Serve with Bread
